Please call 111 if you need emergency medical attention

If you need medical help between the hours of 6.30pm and 8am there are many services in place to treat people who urgently need healthcare, but it isn’t a serious or life threatening emergency.

If you are unsure of the service you need, or need immediate medical advice you should call NHS 111. They can give you advice and if you need to speak directly to a health care professional then they are available on the other end of the phone, whatever the time of day or night.

Walk in services are also available at Loughborough Urgent Care Centre.

If you do need to go to the emergency department, please think about if you can manage to get there using your own transport, or a taxi. Ambulances in the area will always prioritise the most serious cases first, so if your condition is not serious or life threatening and it’s safe to do so, we would recommend seeing if you can get family or friends to help you get to the emergency department. If you’re not sure, ring NHS 111 and they will advise you.

As we start 2024 we thought we would share with you some of the phenomenal work we have been doing throughout 2023.

We currently have a record number of patients registered with us: 10704 up from 10550 in 2022 and 9800 in 2016

In 2023 the total number of appts we provided were 61,111

51,996 (85%) of those we’re face to face with the national average being 70%.

30,992 (50%) of those appointments were on the same day.

Only 11% of our appointments were via telephone with the national average being 26%

Unfortunately, there were 2085 DNA's (Did not attends) coded that year. That averages out at 174 appointment a month that could have gone to someone else.

Access to Medical Records:

As your GP practice, we have been asked to provide you with access to your full medical record via the NHS app (and NHS website) if you have a suitable NHS login. As a practice we have decided to ask your permission first, as this gives us a chance to check your understanding and be sure access to your data is safe for you before you opt in.

We are aware that not everyone will want access to their full record on the internet at this time, and some patients may have concerns about their personal medical records being made available on their smartphones or online, especially if other people have access to their devices.

If you know you will want to Opt In and get access, please find further information contained in the Access to Records Part of our website.

Whether you Opt in or Out you can change your mind at any time by contacting the practice.

The Stoke Golding Surgery

In July 1990 the practice opened a branch surgery for patients living in Stoke Golding, Dadlington, Higham on the Hill and Stapleton.

The surgery is conveniently located for the residents of these villages and our nurse offers a full range of support services, similar to those listed further on in this leaflet.

At Stoke Golding surgery patients may collect their prescribed medication at the surgery. Some items, such as antibiotics, are available at the surgery at the time of the consultation. Other non-urgent prescriptions, including repeat prescriptions, can be ordered for collection the following working day.

If you require medication urgently when the surgery is closed, please contact the main surgery on: 01455 637659
